Remember, this is with the resonators still intact. If you want louder, you can always remove those. The guy at the muffler shop suggested I see what I think of this set up first before cutting those off since its supposed to be really loud.

as soon as I get back my tips (stock/5'' mufflex tips)from powder coating i'll put on my delete and test both tips.

Mufflex kit

Has anyone done the Mufflex muffler replacement kit with their factory duals? i was looking into the aggressive kit. Someone also told me that the factory Y-pipe is restrictive and to replace this too? Necessary? Part number for the Y-pipe?

If you look through this thread there are a quite a few people here who have used their kits, I think almost every kit is mentioned here somewhere. I personally am about the pull the trigger on their full delete since I like it loud!

Mufflex exhaust for 2013 Ram Hemi 1500

Adding a K&N intake and looking to swap our stock muffler to possibly a Mufflex 18M and have custom pipes installed. Also been looking at a Flowmaster 50 HD. Looking for a deep growl but nothing to **** off the neighbors!

In regards to drone noise on the highway. Do you recommend Mufflex Resonance Cancellation Pipe Kit? If not what do you suggest?

Also, what benefit does the magnaflow Y pipe have, is it less restrictive?

I have an 18" magnaflow with res removed, I want a little more noise and a deeper/meaner bark. What muffler should I go to? I was looking a flowmaster 40 or 44 or a mag 14"

I just got my 2012 Ram sport and since I am kind of a newbie to this, I am having a hard time trying to decide which exhaust to get and what exactly I need to tell the guys that are gonna install it for me, what I do and don't need. I am debating between a Magnaflow and a Flowmaster 40, I don't want the exhaust to be too loud as I drive on the freeway a lot and don't want it to be annoying. Please give me some feedback as too what you would recommend for my 5.7 hemi. Thanks.

I have a Flowmaster 40 on mine (2013 Sport 5.7L) and it's loud when u want it to be and not loud if ur not in the gas. I don't have any drone inside the truck while on the highway, I love it. The drone in my SUV was horrible with the same exhaust but not in this truck. I got mine from the local parts store with an extension pipe and some clamps and did it myself. Very simple to do. No cutting at all. Just buy a single in dual out and an extension pipe and the clamps for that size and about 45 mins time ur done. The stock muffler unbolts right off nice n easy. Clamp the new one up with the extension pipe and fire her up! I also removed my resonators and replaced them with exhaust pipe. Here's a link to my YouTube video.

I've got a DOD14M making it's way down here and I've read about as many "not loud enough" complaints as I can handle.

I just had mine installed and it sounds great! I wanted something to rumble when on it but to be subtle when cruising or idling. This is the prefect march for me. As soon as I can find my camera I'll make a video of it and post it

I've always kept my resonators on.
I had the dod14m and the drone bugged me so I switched to the dod18m and it was ok for volume at full throttle but too quiet otherwise so I switched out the factory tips for 5"X12" and it deepened the tone but still too quiet, so I am now back to a dod14m it's deep, clean and pretty loud, lot's of drone and will be worse without the reso's so now after researching I pulled the plug and going to install the Cherry Bomb Extreme; more raw sounding, louder and NO gurgling like (******** in a tin can/ muffler delete without reso's) and smooth all the way through from idle to full throttle and a lot less drone. This is MY experience and other's will have a different view, good luck to ya, Bro.
