Pulled the cover and the collar was stuck all the way to the left (inside) of the axle. There was a small piece of channel type material in the bottom of the housing it looked like it could have been to the fork that moves the collar. Broke 4wd need help diagnosing
Got my truck stuck duck hunting last weekend and was in 4wd spinning tires heard a loud ping and then neither of the front tires were spinning. bad axle bearing?
In my 96 ram 2500 4wd I'm getting a vibration that I can feel throughout the truck and in the pedals and steering wheel. It isn't very bad but gets worse when turning right and goes away when turning left. I was thinking driver side front axle bearing gone bad? What else could it be?- 12vcummins59
