I would do the HP tune but not looking to spend that much, really just looking to delete mds and if it picks up a couple hp and torque I'll be happy. Never felt the mds before truck went in for 5 recalls. Im thinkin truck had tune before recall im not original owner. I'm leaning towards...
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a tuner main reason is delete MDS. I have a 2014 ram 1500 5.7, the two i'm considering are Superchips 1500 Flashpaq F5 Tuner or the Diablosport Predator 2 Platinum, superchips is a little cheaper.
I figured out problem when dealer did recalls it made my truck shudder from the MDS which i never felt before, i dont know why but for now im shifting manually to 8th gear and truck runs perfect. So it looks like im going have to buy a tuner whats the best choice in tuner for the money.
I agree thats why i didnt go for a long time and even told my wife truck is fine watch them *** it up!. The trans is smoother when your stopping fast now the trans doesnt catch up hard after stopping now but i would rather have that back then this shudder crap.
Yes 5.7 hemi recalls are all old ones i was getting cards from dealer near me for a while finally went now wish i didnt. I'll post list of recalls later dont have them with me, one i remember had to do with trans.
I had my truck at dealer for 5 recalls one had something to do with trans programming, picked it up friday and i noticed there was a spot on gas pedal when pressing slightly truck shudders. Was not there before im getting ready to call them this morning has anybody else have this problem.
I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Plus 5W-30 seems to keep it pretty quiet still a slight tick sometimes. I have new AFE shorty headers so not coming from exhaust one of these oil changes i'll try redline to see how good it works.
I had BBK headers on mine didnt take long for them to rust to sheet 3 years they were shot. I wanted Kooks stainless shorties but they were not available and i got tired of waiting so i bought AFE Twisted steel shorties not the same grade steel as Kooks but so far they are holding up good. They...
I have had only MTs for the last 20 on my 99 lifted Suburban tried most brands so im use to how they ride. I bought my Ram a year ago it had the ko2s the ride and dry roads felt good was nice to drive a truck without MTs ko2 are quiet but in the rain they suck. Changing lanes at 70mph in the...
