You can only pick ONE mod for your Ram, what do you pick?

Piggy backing on my worst mods thread: http://www.ramforum.com/f38/name_mod_you_did_you_ultimately_regretted-88170/ I thought I'd do something different. Here's the rules: You just got your 4th gen. It's bone stock, not counting factory trim packages and NORMAL factory performance options...

Name a mod you did that you ultimately regretted

See the title. Should be interesting.

    JL Audio system

I see a lot of recs for Sundown here. But how are they without a lot of airspace?

Need to match Subs to amp

Take a look at Image Dynamics IDQ series. They do well in smaller air spaces and run in 4 or 2ohm DVC.

    JL Audio system

For SQ, W3 will be better. Some people really want to bang out the bottom end. And for those folks, 2 subs would probably be better. But if you just need low end reproduction with a health bump, 1 W3 will more than do the job, and sound great doing it. Plus, it'll free up storage on the other...

    JL Audio system

Just my opinion, but I'd take a single W3 over a pair of W1s any day. Especially if I were coming from a W7. But I've always been SQ focused and didn't require a ton of boom. A single W3 in a quad cab would give you a decent amount of bottom end though.

    Pioneer AVIC-5200NEX

I'd take a look at a new old stock or used 5100. I don't think there were many differences at all and you could possibly save some bucks. Pioneer makes good decks and their nex line is currently the best out there. On my recent job, I went with a Kenwood because I wanted a volume knob and...

How long will my 5.7 last?

My 2010 has 161,000 miles on it. And the only issue it currently has is a warped rotor. Like a previous poster said, the 5.7 will probably outlast other components on the truck.

First time Ram owners, would you buy again?

Coming from a series of German sports cars, I have a bit of a different perspective, I guess. I've owned my Ram for a few months now, and would absolutely buy again. (Mine has 161k miles). But I'll buy the best truck/car that fits in cost vs features. This time around it was Dodge. If the...

Crew cab sound system planning help

I know I sound like a broken record, but I'd skip the rear fill and put it into your sub or amp. Take a look at the IDQ 10 as well. It should fit.

Name a DIY situation you did to your Ram that went horribly wrong

I love this one because it sounds like something I would do.

Ok this is an interesting one. Tell me what went wrong with the wiring...

    Chevy commercials

The smartest play in marketing is to go after the top seller. It pulls double duty by devaluing the champ while also placing your product next to theirs - subliminally telling the consumer that you are: a) equal or better than the champ b) should be considered by anyone considering the champ

Ha dang and you were even being cautious!

Name a DIY situation you did to your Ram that went horribly wrong

We've all had one. I just got my Ram, so I haven't had any nightmares yet. Though I did use the wrong sized (too big) hole saw when I cut out a hole for my tweeters in my A pillar. But that's only a $60 mistake. I'm sure I have a more expensive screw up in my future. What's yours?
