    2021 ram 1500 etorque problems

I'm glad you like eTorque, that doesn't mean to say that the manufacturer should make products with faults and then state "its normal" I know more about transmissions than you think, as Jeep found out when I sued them and won. I post here looking for input that I can't get from a dealership...

    2021 ram 1500 etorque problems

Sorry for tardy response. Hard downshift is how my daughter describes it. Most noticeable at lower speeds coming to a stop it seems. It's her 3rd Ram 1500 and she says the experience is unique to this eTorque model. Since my last post, its been to the selling dealership 3 times with this...

    2021 ram 1500 etorque problems

My daughter has eTorque on her 2021 Ram 1500. 5.7L She hates it, so do I. 1. On idle it makes a horrible squealing noise you can make it go quieter by putting it in neutral. 2 My daughter hates auto shutoff but allows it to reduce idle noise. 3. Down shift coming to a stop is very jerky. This...

    5th Gen RAM Quality

Hate to say it but my Ram 1500 bighorn Limited has been a small dog. -Transmission replaced. -Rear diff rebuilt. -Multiple electrical issues -It never drove quite correctly after this very expensive to (FCMA) warranty work. My Jeep Cherokee was a BIG dog, had even more of the same kind of...

Installed aftermarket parking sensors - review

Me as well, colour was more important at the time than this feature. Interested to see if an aftermarket solution can truly integrates.

    Uconnect 8.4A NAV capable.

Thanks for the answer. Based on my Cherokee Nav the maps are obviously out of date around at least around Washington DC, it would have had me turn left at turn right only (or vice versa) junctions that locals said were years old. I think at $500 I'll pass for now.

Which Octane gas are you using?

V8 Hemi. Manual says 87 Octane acceptable, but 91 preferred. In the North East Premium is generally 93 Octane. Selling dealership said use regular. I had thought to use Plus which is generally 89 Octane, but not every location sells it. I would think using same grade is most important for...

A few questions about the Ram 1500 BH

Yes you are probably right about adding the park assist, it wasn't an essential thing - I just wanted to know if it was possible to add later.

A few questions about the Ram 1500 BH

Thanks for the answer, is the difference use or appearance based? Any links to where I could see the end result?

    Uconnect 8.4A NAV capable.

Thanks for the replies. My dealer wanted $599 but I found an online solution for $499. I tried the throw it in approach and they said with my affiliate pricing they couldn't do it. So until I find a better price there is no built in Nav .... not a biggy for this vehicle.

    Changing oil filter

Not a neighborly or EPA friendly thing to do, it stinks and drips back and contaminates the ground. My 2nd neighbor (many years ago) did this , we had a big fight about pollution laws and I won.

A few questions about the Ram 1500 BH

I have some questions that I would have liked to ask before purchase - but you know how hard it is to get the perfect vehicle... My truck will come with Parkview rear back up through the Uconnect 8.4A, is it possible to add the sonic proximity detectors? My original selection had that...

    Uconnect 8.4A NAV capable.

I think for my Cherokee the updates are free for the 36 month B to B period, I will check with the dealer. For now my existing Garmin and Tom Tom Navi or the IPhone will do fine.

    Dealership Issues

You tell a sad story. I have a POS 2014 Jeep Cherokee 18 months old and 12K miles since nobody wanted to drive it. Back to the (local) dealer 5 times - the selling dealer was a disaster. The fifth SW engine / transmission update seems a bit better- at least doesn't seem out rightly dangerous...
