I would be looking at the oil line going to the turbo. It attaches to the oil filter mounting bracket and runs to the turbo. We had one leaking just last week. 2015 3500 HO Cummins. We fixed it ourselves and it’s pretty easy to get to.
I used to really like mine until the engine blew up on me. After that I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If my new engine starts making any weird noises it’s getting sold ASAP. I don’t trust it anymore
You’re more than welcome. I’m a Ram guy and have been for a long time. If you want a diesel get a Cummins. If you want a 1500 I’d definitely get the hemi. Our business has 3 Cummins trucks and like every one of them.
I would not recommend it. They have all kinds of issues with the crank shaft. I’m replacing an engine in mine right now. Do some research online first about ecodiesel engine failures
Sorry about your luck. I think this is the first time I heard about a 2020 engine going bad. I was hoping that they had the issues fixed with the newer ones. I have a 2016 eco diesel that we’re in the process of replacing the engine. It’ll set me back around 15k.
My 2016 eco-diesel just blew the engine with 135,000 miles in November and I just picked up my new engine from the dealership today to the tune of $15,000. I’m getting a private shop to install. Did you have any luck getting an engine yet?
Hey, so I am just putting in a new engine into my 2016 Eco diesel. First engine blew up with 135,000 miles. This is a brand new factory engine and I am just wondering if anyone has had issues with their new engines. This engine is supposed to have all the upgraded components in it but I was just...
I would suggest taking it back to the dealership and letting them fix it. By the way how did you manage to get an engine? I have a truck with a blown engine right now and no engines available anywhere. 2016 ecodiesel. What year and mileage is yours if you don’t mind me asking thanks.
I really don’t see a reason to tune the aisin. Just don’t try to put crazy power in front of it. We have a 2015 3500 with the Aisin and we have 230,000 miles and still going strong
