Trucks should not be higher in the front than the rear, it’s not just aesthetically weird, it’s unsafe for steering, handling, braking, and if you put any weight in the bed it can become very unstable when driving.
If you will be getting a throttle response unit, one of the ones suggested here that might help with pedal feel and response and help with the issues you are having.
I personally have had the pedal commander in two Ram 1500 classic trucks now with zero issues. People who end up throwing codes...
Generally speaking 2.5” will get you the levelled look. Every truck is slightly different so that’s not 100% accurate for EVERY single truck out there, but that’s generally what you need to lift the front to make it levelled, and what most levelling kits will list as the lift height.
If you...
Sorry you’re having these troubles.
I would suggest eliminating the unknowns if what has been done hasn’t solved the issues you’re having.
I personally would get an alignment at a shop I know does good work, and if there is any doubt in the shape or possible damage to the wheels, I would go...
I have a pedal commander too, should have mentioned that. I might try turning it down or off one morning to see if that is a factor or not, rule it out maybe.
I’m not talking about delayed shifting, I meant hesitation from the get go, from stopped (at my garage). I have a 2021 Classic, 5.7L 8 speed with 3.92 gears. The hesitation is engine related not transmission related. Almost sounds and feels like if it were any more hesitation that it would stall...
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing as me on my truck, in the morning when I start it to go to work, back it out of the garage and go to drive up the street for the first little bit it has some hesitation between me pressing the Excelerator and the truck actually going...
Out of any truck that would feel the biggest difference with changing tire size from stock 33” to a 35” or even 37” your 3.21 gears would see the biggest difference or loss in torque.
Like others here I lifted my truck 4” (Readylift SST) and went up to a 9” wide wheel with 35” x 12.5 tires...
(Kidding) if you want great gas mileage, buy a Honda Fit.
If you wanted fuel economy, you bought just about the worst vehicle for that lol!
V8 trucks are not fuel efficient even from the factory, once we start putting on lift kits, larger tires, and other accessories that add weight or...
Looks good! I’m sure you could fit 35”s with that lift also, our trucks typically come with 20” wheels and 33” tires from the factory, maybe the width would be an issue though if you went pay the stock 275/60 though?
Hey, that kit should be pretty sweet with the Falcon shocks upgrade.
I didn’t do anything as far as steering dampers etc. and I’ve had zero issues with the steering, no death wobble, no issues at highway speeds or anything.
I also didn’t recalibrate the speedo, it’s not that far off really, I...
Just remember as with ANY engine, idling is your enemy. The lifters don’t get enough lubrication when idling and not getting the rpm’s above 2000, so DRIVE your truck and try not to sit idling if you want to avoid the Hemi tick. Even doing this though there’s a chance you’ll still get it, it’s...
