Thank you, sir! So far it is fun to drive with that 10speed trans. The 5.3L v8 has some pep. Wish I went with the 6.2L but with gas the way it is now, I settled for the 5.3.
Love the group here, definitely will miss yawl.
Just an FY! I have finally resolved my issue with the over heating transmission. Traded in my 2016 RAM 1500 for a 2023 Chevy Silverado Z71 Trail Boss LT with the 5.3 ten speed trans. I really did want to but the fact that the dealership was not willing to look at the problem without charging me...
well then I'm waiting for it to throw a code like last time and then do that. Cause they won't do the job right away. First they have to order the transmission which takes forever. So when they say its ready I'll bring it over with everything put back in place.
I have a question. If and when I bring my truck to the dealer to replace my transmission under warranty, (which I think is going to happen) do you guys think I will need to undo CAULK's Heater By Pass and put my AGS panels back in place? The reason I say this now is because the truck is...
Funny, I didn't mention the other day that after I removed all my AGS shutters (except for the tops and bottoms) I ran over to the automated car wash. So I wonder if my AC Cooler got cleaned? I'll have to look at that this week when I replace my PCV valve. Haven't done that yet and I am at...
So did anyone re-use their coil boots or order new ones? And if you ordered new ones, which ones. I am looking in RockAuto and there a few different brands including the NGK. I am due to do this job soon. I am at 99K miles on my 2016.
I have gone and removed the AGS, all but the top and bottom. I did a short run around town for 30 min. But that's not really a test. The highest my trans temp got was 154* which has always been normal to me. The oil Temp got to 215* and coolant was around 205* off and on. I won't really know if...
You know that is the one thing that I haven't replaced, and that is the TMU. I have the same story as you. Had my transmission go at 61K miles (now I am at 99K) and then I noticed after driving a long trip from North GA to Central FLA I got a warning from the truck that the trans was...
OK so I started taking the shroud off preparing to do my investigation with the radiator to see if anything is plugging it up. I noticed a plug that is not connected to anything and was wonder if anyone knew what this goes too.
Well did this test and the electric fan kicked on, like it should. Guess I can scratch that off the list. Still need to pull a part the front grill and see if there is anything clogging up the area. Ran out of time this weekend.
