Hey guys I'm looking to over haul my engine in my 2000 ram 1500 4x4, 5.2l 318, while I track down a new transmission. What have some of you guys done for mild upgrades to improve the performance of the motor ? I'm looking to go up to the 300 hp range.

Mine was getting water into the sylinoid and causing it to short. When the truck was running and warm it would stall when I was driving. Then be hard to start.

Crank position sensor going out. Mine was causing stalling and miss fire in my 01. I replaced the crank sensor and problem was gone

Hey guys I have an 01 1500 4x4 with a 5.9 v8. I Recently bought it ans in the last couple weeks i noticed when my truck gets up to temp when I left off the throttle while driving or coming to a stop it trys to stall. My coe worker being a mechanic for 20 years said it sounds like my torque...
When my truck gets to temp and I'm under load and coming to a stop it will cut out or act like it's running out of fuel

What would be causing my 01 with the 5.9 360 to be running lean ? Some where some how it's A not getting enough fuel or b to much air. Could it be the intake plenum gasket ? Also no codes are being thrown. But it does how ever hesitate or act like it's running out of fuel.

So I bought a new ram after selling my 94. I got a 01 ram 1500 with a 3 inch skykacker. The tires on it are a 315 70 r17 they are to big. I want to go to a 285 70 r 17 but I'm afraid if they are to small and would look 8 funny. What are you guys running for a tires ?

I will say far as a law suit the guys sounds not so bright or he doesn't know his vehicles well or doesn't do the research, or in some cases doesn't maintain his rig. I dont think he will be getting very far with it.
Death wobble is defiantly a common dodge thing the front end in the dodge trucks specially when lifted has the worst wear rate. So if you rebuild your front end like I had to defiantly do the performance after market parts. The gear box is well known for going our as well. In the 94 -01 you will...
I own my truck out right so there for I will not taking to the dealer because its not under warranty anymore. There for i fix it myself so that I know whats going on with my truck. If I had money to buy the New power wagon then sure id take it in but for i have my 94 that i want to make a power...
But i just remembered on a heavy truck they will wear down quickly but on a light ram they are excellent. I dont get stuck in mud or wet grass. In rocks they like to pick up small rocks so be prepared for having mud flaps.
Im running 285/75/16 on my dodge and love them best tire for my truck so far. I had mine a year all ready and no problems yes a little noisy but great traction and road life.
