Any former Toyota 4x4 guys here?

While I cannot say I switched to a PW, I must say that my 1990 Toyota Hilux (pre Tacoma 4x4) is still running like a top and has a 7' plow on the front of it that I use to plow my 400' driveway and some of my neighbors drives as well in the mountains of Colorado. I love this truck and would...

    HEMI 5.7 or Diesel

It really comes down to how much weight the toy hauler is and over what terrain you will be towing. While I cannot comment on towing anything with a 1500 having never owned one. I am on my second 2500 bought specifically for towing, 1. 3 horse over sized trailer with tack room and 2. 12,000...

    Electric seats to Tradesman

So, I bought a new 2018 2500 Tradesman Cummins 6.7L with only 25 miles on it, couldn't turn down the 14K they took off MSRP. The one thing I miss is the electric seats that my 2006 2500 had and a few other things, but lets talk about seats. I figure it's possible to purchase either used, or a...

Which RAM should I get. Will be my first

My thoughts are to sit down and take a good hard look at your needs. Ask yourself questions like: Will I be towing a big assed trailer? Do I need room for kids or dogs as passengers? Do I want to carry a lot of tools, for job or another reason. Do I want all the bells and whistles? I'm sure you...

    Man I love this truck

Phylodog said: ↑ Had an incident this morning and got very, very lucky. Limped back to my truck, grabbed a tow strap, put her in 4wd Low and she pulled the tractor back up on the hill with very little effort. I'm not sure I even hit 1500rpm and it was up. I've got 37k miles on her now and have...

    Well heck....

I never liked calling the cops for an accident, then a woman driving a Nissan ass ended me in my new Porche Cayanne S, decided it best to call the cops. It was rush hour, we waited and waited. Decided to swap insurance information which we did when the officer shows up. The state police...

    Drop-in Vs Spray-in

I had a drop in from the factory in my 1990 Toyota Hilux 4x4, while it protected the bed nicely, now, after 30 years of hard work, it seems a little sloppy. Factory spray in for my 2005 Ram 2500, wore very well and looked a tad faded, but other that than, like new when I sold it last December...

    Top Tier Detergent Gasoline

As far as I know, Costoo gas is top tier. Unfortunately, they do no carry diesel locally so I cannot run it in my truck. However, I do have several high performance vehicles (no, not Dodge) and they run Costco premium very well.

Does anyone have an actual printed, full owner's manual that came with your truck?

Bought a new 2018 last month, it came with complete manual. Nice price, they wanted it off the lot. Sweet!

Splash guards / mud flaps yah or nah??

I used WeatherTech mud flaps on my 2006 2500 SLT. Easy to install looked almost new in 2019. Purchased a new 2018 2500 Tradesman in December. Installed Havoc HS2 black hoop steps rather than normal looking running boards. Went to WeatherTech website and found that they made no mud flaps for...
