Air Suspension Delete regrets? Dealer wants $4800 to fix.

So, a couple months ago, I bought AlphaOBD and MX+ BT dongle. It said I had a shorted temperature sensor. Took a chance on a $40 replacement from RMT off of Amazon. About an hour's worth of time and being a contortionist getting that T25 off and it fixed the issue. A t25 bit with a 1/4" ratchet...

Air Suspension Delete regrets? Dealer wants $4800 to fix.

I bought alphaODB, it told me there was a short in the temperature sensor. Ordered the $40 sensor from RMT manufacturing and it fixed the problem. Took me about an hour of being a contortionist to get out the old sensor. LoL

Air Suspension Cooling Down Please Wait

Interesting. The temp sensor is part of the air pump assembly. Should have been replaced with the pump. The other day, the dealer quoted me $4,800 ($3500 just for the pump.) to replace the pump and valve block. No thanks. Ordered a refurb from RMT for $400 and hope that's the only problem.

How I solved my Air Suspension Problem

I ran across this video yesterday for that, using alphaODB. Is this what you are asking? https://youtu.be/mtVLk7WP2wU

New member with an air suspension issue-considering cutting my losses

My 2014 only has 47k miles on it. I diagnosed to at least have a bad air compressor. When power is applied, it jumps and nothing. Seized I presume. I get the message that it is cooling down and disabled. However, after having the battery disconnected overnight, I reconnected the battery and get...

Replacing air suspension compressor 2013 laramie longhorn

Today, the dealer quoted me $4,800, to replace the air compressor and block. $1,000 sounds cheap. They try to channel made the compressor alone was $3,500, but you can get a new OEM one for about $500.

Air Suspension Delete regrets? Dealer wants $4800 to fix.

Handy enough I suppose, I have most of the tools. Back 30 years ago, I was pulling engines, etc. If I knew the repair cost was reasonable and would last, I have no issue to repairing it. However, I read here that some dealers don't troubleshoot properly. The dealer can't take me in for 2 weeks...

Air Suspension Delete regrets? Dealer wants $4800 to fix.

So, I have a 2014 Laramie Crew Cab with only 47k miles. Just put on my first new set of tires and brakes. Short story long... When I park my truck in bad parking lots, I left the suspension to high, so if someone opens there door into my truck, they hit the steps and not my doors. Well...

How I solved my Air Suspension Problem

Just started having the cooldown message yesterday on my 2014. Front air bags are on the bump-stops. Now I have to decide, repair, convert to regular suspension, or if I could keep it running for a month longer, I would just get rid of it at this point. Too bad as I love the truck. 2014 with 47k...

Heated seat issue with back right/passenger side.

I noticed a lot of rust here. My truck had that third break like leaking issue which filled up the back seat many years ago. I fixed it myself, however perhaps some damage was caused due to that. Looks like I may have to pull the whole seat to check this, if anybody can clarify or verify it...

Heated seat issue with back right/passenger side.

Can you just pull the seat and not the back as well? I have yet to go and check to see how much of a pain it is to pull and disassemble. Thanks

Heated seat issue with back right/passenger side.

It stopped again, when she sat down. I have to see how much work it is to pull the 66% part of the seat and diagnose. Thanks

Heated seat issue with back right/passenger side.

It just started working the next day again. I had tried it during several trips the day it had the issue. So perhaps my daughter sitting on it was causing a bad connection, as you stated. Thanks

Heated seat issue with back right/passenger side.

2014 RAM Laramie CC. Back right/passenger side heated seat. Power it on, powers back off a second later. I hear the relay click, light turns on and a second later, light and relay click off. It just started happening in the past month. All other seats work fine. I personally wouldn't care, but...
