    The one difference I can point out now that I've had both is the chrome set appear brighter, even if only by a little which I figure has to do with the reflectiveness of the chrome.

    The set with the black projector housing are discontinued, not the lights themselves. They discontinued the all black projector housings due to the burning issue, not the ones with the chrome in them.

    Well I use to work at the dealership, it's a smaller set up... but I know everyone there and friends with the parts guy. He told me he would leave them boxed up in the back but if they don't ask for them back ( it's happened in the past ) he would call me and I could come pick them up and keep...

    I agree! I love the total black housing with no chrome, I hate that it had that issue. So from that show did you take that they are getting rid of the projectors? Or at least in some way I guess? I hope not, I love the look of them, I just think they need to definitely go LED's already and stop...

    Mine had 10,700 when my parts guy pointed it out ( he noticed before me ) and it was already pretty bad then so it had to have started a few thousand before that probably 7k at least, maybe sooner depending on how fast it got there. I have a few other buddies with the all black projector...

    I'd love to hear what they say. See my other issue with the hazing, even more once it got to be very noticeable, is they would constantly sell these lights to customers as non breakable ( lie, but they are tough ) and no hazing like traditional lights, or past styles.

    Thanks!. That's my favorite thing about the truck, being limited... well until they brought 2-3k more back for 2017 * eye roll * there were originally only 1,000 so I never had to worry about seeing them around every corner.

    Thanks man. I wish they would do that with the Rams already, or well I guess every other vehicle, the technology is there already. I'm sure you're right, it'll probably be on the 5th gen for 2019... if not then someone needs to send them the message.

    You would think they could come up with something new to get rid of it. I honestly don't listen to FM anymore, I'm always listening to XM so reception is no big deal if it's not great. I'm ordering a few parts soon and that is on the list ( finally ) lol.

    Lol I know I know... I've been meaning to order the shorty antenna for a month and a half now. It's on the order list for this coming week XD. Also yeah I know, I'm a major smart ass too.. I just didn't expect it all over headlights. It definitely was one of those things I really liked...
