Appreciate the response. Have not had a chance to mess with it yet, but should get to it tomorrow. I didn't have the cluster apart, so I'm not sure how it got that way and I swear it was working fine for at least part of the day after reinstalling. Avital 4103L Keyless Entry Remote Start Install
any elegant solution getting the hood switch wire to the remote unit such as an unused wire in harness? I've got a module for the immobilizer (uses a programmed key) and a wire threaded up to the ignition switch. I think I've got all the correct resistors (I'll do a check probably today)...- RamPhil

Well, the easiest way would be to cut out the bad section and use 2 fittings to splices in a new section. I just took the section I cut out, which was from the T all the way past the clip to secure the line on the passenger side of the differential to a NAPA store, to get the correct size and... -
