Looking for some assistance on swapping from tbi to carb. Motor is in with new carb, HEI distributor and a mild camshaft. I have a '98 ram 1500 5.9 with the 46re and was looking for some insight on diaging the issue I'm having. Transmission shifts from 1-2 second at about 1800-2000 rpm no matter how hard I push the throttle pedal, then from 2nd straight into 3rd. Transmission slipping in and out of overdrive
Fluid sample came back clean, not a trace of any clutch material or metal in it. I checked the codes and it has a p0740 for torque converter- Steven Roethler

Forgot to mention, transmission was rebuilt and has less than 40k on the rebuild. Has an upgraded sonnax accumulator piston and a transgo jr **** kit installed. Fluid was changed less than 5k miles ago. Fluid doesn't smell burnt and still is a bright red color. Fluid level has been checked while...- Steven Roethler

Transmission slipping in and out of overdrive
Started a few days ago, it will slip out of overdrive and back in repeatedly. Goes from 1600 rpm to 2100 sometimes up to 2500. Rpms also fluctuate with OD off. Replaced tps a few months ago. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!- Steven Roethler

Np435 wont go into first or reverse
Also would like to add that with the tower off, the tower will go into first and reverse. The transmission will go into first and reverse if I manually move the gears into first and reverse- Steven Roethler

I got a 1989 w150 that im swapping from auto to manual. I have an np435 out of a 79 powerwagon. I rebuild the shifter tower and put new bearings and such in.
