The orange stuff is the silicon end of the cord stuck in the block heater end on the motor. Same as with 2 & 3 pics, those tubes are the block heater assembly extensions, moving the cord to a spot away from the engine block.
Any resolution on this? I just watched a video saying they changed the plug/wire orientation on the new connector, if you hook it up how it'd "make sense to us" it throws a P018D.
When I did my reading on this, to replace the swollen stock lugnuts, I went with the following.
Gorilla 66147 - (7/8" HEX) 14mm x 1.50 (Quantity: Pack Of 4)
Gorilla 66148 - (7/8" HEX) 14mm x 1.50 (Set of 16)
I did not want to go with a lock/keyed nut.

Best thing I did for my regcab short box was put some weight in the box. I found the *** end would kick out like a donkey going over any type of bump, bridge seams. I got about 700lbs of paver stones over top the axle. Rides smooth.
