I had an issue today and one of my gas lines sprung a leak. Melted a bunch of **** but got it put out safely. The question is, what year engine wiring harness will work in my 1997 ram 1500 5.2 auto? Will any other years or one from a 5.9 work?

Found the problem today. Pulled the cap to check and make sure everything is good and there was a about a 1/2" of back and forth movement on the rotor. Replaced the distributor, no more play, and all is good. I am assuming that it was in time then out of time and so on because of all of the play.
I rerouted the wires according to the tsb, no change. I replaced the coil today and it got worse. My old coil had cracks all over it. I am going to replace the wire again. I feel like I am just throwing parts at this thing now and it is ******* me off.

I checked for vacuum leaks after I finished the intake I installed new plugs again. Cap, rotor, and wires were done 4k miles ago. I found a tsb on this today at work, I will try performing the fix and post results.
Got the cat out and replace with straight pipe, ran better around town ,but as soon as I got on the highway it started chugging. It is not as bad as it was but it still is not right. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated
Did the intake gaskets yesterday, still not running quite right with some missing. We are in the process of eliminating the cat now, will check back in with the results. The cat was broken and rattling around so hopefully this is the fix.
