318 Won't Idle
I've got a 1977 318 in my 87 w150, it's got an A-Team HEI distributor and a new "Carter" 2 barrel.(Chinese reproduction) The truck runs good but I just can't get it to stay idling all the time. Well, I'm an idiot. I swear I must've checked the plug wires 10 times but I looked again a little while ago and sure enough #2 and #7 were crossed. Truck runs like a scalded dog now!- ZachC540

I have an '87 W150, I just swapped in a low mileage 318 from a '77 W150. Under light acceleration it pops from the exhaust and when I hit 1/2 throttle to WOT it backfires through the carb and I just can't seem to tune it out.
