Hey I spotted HD radio! How did you get that? I have not seen that on my 8.4. That's the one thing I miss from my aftermarket radio in my old truck.

theres a 8.4an and a 8.4a i believe. the 8.4an has HD radio the other does not

Thanks for posting. A few questions, my friend. I have a 2014, 2500 Dodge with the 8.4 A(no nav) radio, and she has the backup camera.

I have no interest in nav, so what exactly would this do for me? I am not handy, so I won't be doing any wiring, or anything, but if i can stick a USB into the truck, and all kinds of features, cameras, etc., will magically appear, that would be really cool. Please let me Know what, exactly, this would provide me with if i purchased it. Thanks again for your posting, man!

Just purchased

Customtronix | is the website that sells them. I just purchased the RAX harness and the software jailbreak from them for 149 Euros & 30 Euros shipping - which came to 246$. I am very happy with it. The harness gives you two video inputs via RCA and audio input via RCA. Currently I purchased a media player from amazon and a 64GB thumb drive.

I can play movies and TV shows for my passengers. I also tried hooking up a PS2 and was playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 while my GF drove me around.

This software also removes the speed lockout - so you can type in GPS info and use the text message system while the vehicle is in motion. Money well spent so far I am very happy with everything.

Install time - 30 mins

So if i dont have nav (GPS), and im not planning to do any wiring, what would this product do for me if i purchased it? Will it magically eneable some mystery features that im unable to use now? Just curious

Just camera inputs, and anything you can't do while driving.

my Sport does not have the rev feature, if I put it into R a camera comes on and when I hit the gas it goes backwards. Strange??????

Well, being i dont have nav, theres nothing i really need to do while driving except maybe access radio, Climate which i can do already anyway. As to this camera business, i already have a backup camera, does this thing give me more cameras, or more angles or something?

You can see how it works. It enables a cargo camera, and a forward facing camera. As well as a slightly jerry rigged media AV input option. The front facing camera will come up any time you move the shifter to 'D', and will stay on until you hit 7mph.

Is that an american RAM? I spoke with Magnus from Customtrinix and he said they don't have SRT available for American Uconnect systems yet because they are blocking it. Is this true?

Sounds good but where do the extra cameras come from? Does the truck already have them and they just need to be activated with this device? The reason im asking is that i have no way of installing a camera (im not handy), but if its just a matter of popping in a USB and wala, everything starts workin, I'll buy it! thanks again, for your Time!

I posted this on your vid, but just in case u see it first here,

But where exactly do these extra cameras come from? Are they already factory inbuilt in your rig, just waiting to be activated? The reason im asking is that im not handy, and can't do much more than put in a usb stick and push a few buttons. Definitely not a wiring, handyman type of guy, so just wondering if this is worth it..thanks again

You have to add them yourself. In my case, I bought the OEM cargo cam, and an aftermarket front bumper cam.

I made no splice harnesses for them, and installed them.

Oh, sounds like you're a handy guy. Sadly, I'm not. My truck came with the backup cam, but i wont be able to install anything else, because handy, i am not. LOL, i take my car to the garage to get Light Bulbs changed, that's how useless I am at anything mechanical. :crazy:

So for me, i guess there would be no point. Thanks anyway (unless youre anywhere near the Midwest, then i could pay u to do it, LOL)

I tried changing a HEADLIGHT on my old car once, and made more of a mess of things than anything. I just went to the garage, gave him $10, And Told him to do it. Thats how useless i am at this stuff. :word:
