Dang, man, you burned through that many tires? How many driveshafts did you blow up doing it?
That thing makes me wanna fly lol
1) I'll never buy a 4 door truck. huge and ugly. Lost me to Ford, or recent Tacoma --- till they come back with two door. Even better two door stepside. . Present truck= Same image as a suburban, or honda van..or small school bus. 2 ) need paper service manuals, even if 200$. You Cannot read a whole truck wiring diagram on a computer screen. Tech authority thing is a joke. Tried to do that. 3) should be an option to delete all unnecessary electronics BS. Just a real truck. Even pay to get rid of auto windows, auto door locks all that garbage. See success of Road Runner idea in 60's. 4) desperately need a Tacoma from Dodge ; Went to buy one , a Tacoma is 30k -35k plus . Rip. Yet they are sold out --around NE. Cannot meet demand, they get list price plus. Used if you an find one used are more than a stripper new ram. Bought a Cherokee instead of Tacoma , huge mistake.4wd system is a sad joke. As is design of multiair 4 (wait till that gets older---) . Seat location vs B pillar a joke. Cannot get in ,and once in cannot see out. Stuck in sand in first thousand miles You have to stop totally and put foot on brake to engage it. Ever hear of "shift on the fly " in snow or sand? You Stop, in sand, you are firmly stuck. Got rid of that Cherokee wth under 4k on it. First car I ever genuinely hated. The Dakota before "improved" squaring off of style was TRULY great looking. Next time on mid size get stainless brake lines that do not dissolve in a year. And use stainless exhaust manifold stud fasteners. etc. Ask me how i know those things..
Those two anti rust things add about 5$ to cost of making the truck, save untold aggravation , down time, and needless loss of Ram fans to brand C , T or F . Rust can be prevented by smart designers. look at Volvo. 25 years old in NE no perforation.
Why they got killed for 5 years after the 57,58 59 cars --bare metal all over it underneath. Holes over headlights, in rockers ,rear quarters in three years. --yet they still cannot rust proof a rocker panel or rear wheel well today, 60 + years later ?
Back to my "new" daily drivers, -02 Grand Cherokee 4.0 (300k miles, no oil used in 10k miles--4.0 is up there with slant six, just spent 5 k on body) ) and 78 318 stepside . The 02 4WD system is a joy. Never stuck. All hydraulic, no computer delays , software , dog clutches or failures. . Perfect size for an SUV or truck, , excellent seat location. 78 cab has right ride height --same thing, have it right , why screw with it?? . Should have kept making that 02 JEEP body as the classic it is...could have been the new cherokee...instead we get a jelly bean like all the rest from Asia, that you cannot get into.
