My 18 Tradesman QC is rides a little rougher than I'd like. I was wondering if the springs in the upper trim levels might have a smoother ride.

Springs used by Ram are NOT trim specific. The springs are chosen by computer according to many variables such as the weight of the truck; engine; transmission; 4 or 2 wheel drive; wheelbase; wheel diameter and type; options. In fact higher trim trucks will usually have a HEAVIER spring to account for the addition of more options loaded onto them.

I just did a quick search on Mopar parts site, and there are several different spring options and they are not specific to a certain model or trim level, but rather are ordered by spring code. The same code is listed as being applicable across all engines and trim levels, but there are several different code choices that fit the same trim/engine etc.. This matches what was said above, that the springs aren’t based on the trim level but rather the individual specifications on the build sheet. I assume the code is linked to the vin when ordering.
