Ordered my 3500 DRW two weeks ago and I am vibrating!! I am trading out of a 2019 1500. I thought I was done with towing when we got rid of our family boat so I got the 1500. Turns out we are going to be RV'ers so I have made a mistake and have a solid towing rig on the way!! Anyone have any experience on how long I should expect the build and delivery to take?

There's a lot of threads here on that....some have had their trucks within 3-4 months, other 6-8 up to almost a year. Hard to say really.

I guess it depends on what trim level and options you ordered.

Like mentioned, a lot will depend on the options you ordered. Hopefully you should get it by the end of the year unless it's a stripped down tradesman, then you might get it sooner.

Fleet Ordering is different from individual ordering through the dealerships.

According to the Fleet ordering sites,

RAM	1500 Classic (DS) Quad & Crew Cab

2022 Final Orders Due, to be determined
4- Ordering is closed for V8 engine’s. V6 engine cutoff date is TBD

Ordering for 2023 1500 Classic (DS) Quad & Crew Cab
to be determined

Or they are going to keep that information from us

This time of year, is when they usually open the books for the incoming years Ordering.
I would begin bugging the dealerships on May 16, if you are thinking about ordering a 2023 Ram

It's all over the place. I am beginning to think that it doesn't have anything to do with the trim level you ordered. I ordered a Laramie 3500 & it's looking like it's going to be about 6 months before I get mine. Saw another thread on here where a guy ordered the same thing (most likely a few options different) that got his in 30 days. I am starting to wonder if certain options or color has an effect on time line. Ram is doing much better than Ford & GM though. Camper forum I am on some of those guys are waiting a year for their trucks. One gentleman was 14 months!

I ordered my 3500 Big Horn DRW in mid-April. I got a message from the dealer that the build date would be May 27.

I'm tending to think 68PowerWagon has the right of it. There are probably certain items that are taking longer than others.

@68PowerWagon will you PM me that camper forum please. That is the reason we ordered a truck in the first place. Maybe looking for a Host Mammoth or Lance 1162.

Ordered my 3500 Tradesman DRW on March 18. Just heard from the dealership it has a ship date of June 9th.

Ordered my regular cab DRW Cummins HO on 2/11/22. It was built on 4/23 and is still in Mexico waiting on a train ticket.

I ordered at the end of April, I got an email from Ram this weekend that said that they had the order and didn't need anything else from me. It said that I would get another email when the truck actually went into assembly.

Not really... Laramie with a few other goodies. The only thing I can think of that is off the wall would be the sunroof. Another guy on here had many of the same options as mine (including sunroof) & his is built already. Doesn't seem to be any rime or reason what gets built when. Heck it might be the color... I ordered the Delmonico Red.

It takes less than a day to build so there is still time left to make that ship date. Ordered mine 1/31 & they say I am in D1 with an "estimated" ship date of 6/14. So I am hoping to see my truck sometime mid July.
