been reading about the 5.7 hemi and never knew it was an interference engine.
so the friend that i let redo the upper end (valve tik) forgot to torque the cam sprocket and it spun shearing the cam pin.......yep.....i went over this weekend to pull the heads back off (because i was mad) and he thought he had a 50/50 chance no valves were bent. I said probably 100 percent none are bent on a non interference engine, but 0 percent chance none are bent on this 5.7, so if you call that 50/50 OK........
Called me today and the heads are back at the machine shop.
