I installed the strut today. It's easy and there are a few YouTube videos on it.

The install is as follows...
1) Remove the two screws holding the passenger side taillight in. They are t-25 torx.
2) Then pull the light straight back to remove it. Unplug it and set it aside.
3) Extend the strut then clip the top of the strut to the stud right there below the taillight opening. You can't miss it.
4) From under the truck, reach up and clip the bottom of the strut to the bottom stud. If you didn't extend the strut far enough you'll just need to close the tailgate a bit to get the strut to reach the bottom stud. Clip it on the bottom stud and you're done.

It's very easy to install and only takes a few minutes as long as your truck has the studs. I'm not sure what year they started putting them in.

Hi,

Do the bushings on the tow hooks for a 2026 1500 have a part number? If not, is there a way to order them? I have OEM take-offs but no bushings IMG_2499.jpeg
