2003 Ram acceleration lag
This is a 5.7 4x4 3.55s with a 145k. It doesnt burn oil, runs smooth. Off the line is good, but it you want a 1/2 throttle spirited but not a hell yeah acceleration, its just not there. 3/4 to full throttle, puts a smile on my face. there is a factory "modification made" sticker that states...- mopar44134

Thanks Hemilonestar! Transmission has been another concern of mine. A while back i picked up a 2003 Durango 4x4, wrecked but running. 4.7 with the 45rfe. So I picked up this Ram not long ago and of course it has the tick. Runs good, crappy mileage though, 13mpg. 145k. My dakota 4.7 with 3.92's gets 17. This has 3.55s. Tuner options?
Buddy had his SRT tuned with a Diablo. Loved the performance. Cant speak to fuel mileage, he cant keep his foot out of it. Me, (no srt) new headlights that arent fogged over. Just bought it a few weeks ago.- mopar44134

Oil filler cap dip stick purpose?
I have a 2000 4.7 Dakota 4x4, It didnt have the baffle. Winter time it would have that horrible milky crap on the cap. It has 221k, last year I bought a spare 4.7 that had the baffle. Swapped it over, Helped a ton.- mopar44134
