One thing you could check is if the steering stabilizer is actually good or not. It is said that the SS doesn't cause the problem but my jeep sure seemed more prone to it happening when it was bad. When I put my Bilsteins in, I did remove the axle nut and it seemed to be helpful. You do need to torque to 185 though so be aware of that. What is the consensus here on breaking the ball joint free? Whack it with a hammer? I was succesful not using a hammer on the driver side but had to whack... -

67 StingrayJ I just read your post about taking pics. That was my plan (actually was going to video it) but I ran into some difficulties and it was about 110 or more in the garage when I did it, so that plan went out the window. I set them at 2.8. If you have questions just let me know. -

Old thread....But I am getting ready to install my 5100s today. Is it possible the shocks were installed without the washer in the proper location so the shock rod is poking up through the spacer, like I have seen on some other failed installs? This seems like it could cause the issue you are... -

Fault code for "small" leak in evap system.....
I had the same issue on my JK Wrangler. Replaced the gas cap, checked hoses etc. Didn't do a smoke test. I don't know if the RAMs do this differently, but on my JK there was a vacuum operated switch that I think was connected to the charcoal canister in the rear. When the fuel system would cool... -

Hemi Valve Clatter at Startup
Thanks everyone for the input. I am using QSUD 5W20, just completed my first oil change on the truck. Used the NAPA Gold filter. Also dosed with one bottle of Lubegard. In another 3k miles will send off for a UOA. Thanks for the tip on the pedal to the metal at startup. I will try that the next...- vernitron

hi Brandon, thanks for replying. I am wondering why it happens only when I reverse the position of my truck, nose lower than rear. Is the oil in the valve train able to drain out in that position and not in the other?- vernitron

2017 5.7 hemi, 27K miles. I park the truck in my driveway, slight incline, engine higher than rear of truck. I can let it sit for a couple of days and when I start it, no valve train noise. I am currently in the market for a truck and want a crew cab but also want a 6’4” bed
I got a used 2017 Big Horn 4x4, hemi, 3.92 gears, big gas tank and 6.4 bed, cap, tow package, skid plates, with low miles last year in November, but it was very slim pickings. Paid more than I wanted, but love the truck. It was a lease. Only thing missing is the anti-slip.- vernitron

Dreaded ABS Light
Houdlm, your experience is different than mine for certain. I would try removing/cleaning/retightening the grounds in the engine compartment and see if it goes away. It can't hurt, might help. When you clear the code and then restart the vehicle without driving it does the code reappear? The information I read at the time said if that the code does not reappear until you start driving, then it wasn't a problem with the module.
