I wanted the longer bed when I was shopping for my crew cab. Couldn't find one locally so I thought "how bad could it be, it's only a few inches" and bought the micro bed crew cab. I regret it. If you actually want/need to carry stuff in the bed don't settle for the micro-bed, keep looking till you find what you want. My solution was to just buy another truck (92 W-250 Cummins) for when I need to have a truck.

After getting what I felt was a GOOD offer from a used car lot person on my 2019 Classic. I was thinking now is the time to go buy another new one, But I want a 2021 Classic seeing how it will be the last year. So I tell them it HAS TO HAVE crew cab, hemi,4x4, 6.4 bed, and optioned out at least as good as mine is. Well I looked across the country and I can not find one that matches what I want. So I go to the dealer to order one and tell him all I have just stated and he is wanting to hurry up and make the deal . Well I notice this RAM is a 5.7 bed so I call him out on it and tell him this is not what I told you. He informs me you can got get a 6.4 bed anymore . I told well that is a deal breaker for me . If I am gonna have a 5.7 bed I will just buy a Durango. Kinda was looking forward to a new truck oh well no biggie.

My 2017 with the EcoDiesel, 4x4, Ram Boxes, Crew cab, and 6' bed was only available as a fleet/commerical truck.

I got a used 2017 Big Horn 4x4, hemi, 3.92 gears, big gas tank and 6.4 bed, cap, tow package, skid plates, with low miles last year in November, but it was very slim pickings. Paid more than I wanted, but love the truck. It was a lease. Only thing missing is the anti-slip.

Know what you want and be patient. You'll find it, but it might take a while. You can also expand your search area. Personally, I don't mind flying somewhere to buy a car and driving it back. I did this with my last two cars, including my current 2016 1500 Big Horn. I do a nationwide search for exactly what I want and then I go and get it. When you're spending a bunch of money on a truck, why settle? I wanted a crew cab, 6'4" bed...in Black Forest Green...and without the massive center console. For me the small console was the hardest part. Almost all the trucks have the huge console. I think it is ugly and intrusive, just my humble opinion. But I digress.....

Oh and another benefit of a nationwide search is that you might get a better price. The truck that I got was $2K less than anything I could find locally. So even after you factor in airfare, a couple nights hotel, and fuel. I still saved a bunch of money...and had a nice little vaca/road trip/break from the family. LOL!

Do these even exist? Can y’all get me up to speed on what is what. On car gurus it seems they all have 5 foot 7 inch beds unless it’s a quad cab

My new er 2017 had the same, it was load just like my 15 sport, but didn't have the mechanical limited slip, so I pulled the whole rear axle and everything off the sport and slapped it on my 17 limited then sold the sport. Love this limited. First all black interior I have found in a ram

You got your wish. The RAM 1500 has the option for the longer bed in the crew Cab. I don't have any idea how much extra it is, but I wish at times I had it myself.

I'm thinking you want a 1500.
But, I have a 2500 crew cab Tradesman I'm selling. 6.4 and 6.4
... and a couple other things.

I would not want to go to any shorter than the 6'4" bed, I still miss the 8' bed of my last truck.
