Torque is exactly what I need. This is for a tow vehicle that tows a 38ft travel trailer. I have also added a lot of weight to the truck because it is a search and rescue truck. The reason I'm doing the cam and lifters is the high idle times keeping my K9 in the truck with the AC on.
Will that 4500 cam fit in the 5.7? Have you looked at the Comp2 cams? For me I'm worried about bulletproofing the engine and maybe adding more torque in the towing range but really need something I don't have to worry about.
Did you end up finding someone. I am looking to replace mine before the misfire. I am trying to decide on which parts. it looks like johnson has good lifters.

From what I have read these trucks (2016 Ram 2500 5.7L Crew Long bed 4x4 SLT) have adequate cooling at idle. However I am planning on running this for extended periods which I have been told on a few different forums (non Ram) that is a bad idea.

Great Write Up. I always miss pressing the tow button when I am out towing and this would really help. What do I need to remove from your instructions to just do the Tow/Haul mode and leave the traction control alone. Thanks
