    2019 Hemi Premium Fuel?

I’ve e been looking at the 2020 and 2021 2500’s, and every one specifically states “Premium fuel.” After having had three 1500’s that ran well on 89 octane, now I’m wondering if the 2500 will need 91? Or could I get by with 89 unless I’m hauling?

    More truck- my best option?

I appreciate everyone’s very kind responses. This thread has me clearly leaning toward the 2500. I’m wondering if anyone has any feedback on the mileage I can expect from a 2500 4x4?

    More truck- my best option?

I’m a 70 yr old female volunteer who hauls an 8900 lb bumper pull camper with my Ram 1500 (3.92 rear end with towing package). I’m about to trade and the new engine with eTorque has a towing capacity of 11,200. I’m wondering if I can continue with the 1500 ( great mileage when I’m not hauling)...

    I need advice.

Thank you for your thoughtful and reassuring replies. I think I will keep staying with the 1500 based on this. I am already retired and this camper is “grandchildren friendly” so I’m thinking this is my last camper. It’s a Grand Design and pretty much my favorite. My 1500 pulls it well, and I’m...

    I need advice.

I tow a max of around 1500 miles a year, some years much less, some more. I live near the beach so that’s my favorite destination. I’ve avoided the 2500 because of price and ride, but see your point on more truck being better than less. My truck seems to haul my camper fine, and being retired...

    I need advice.

I’m an older widowed female who pulls a 8900 lb camper with my 2018 Ram 1500 4wd, 3.92 rear end Ram. I am considering trading trucks (I consider my trucks my fun thing and trade every couple of years) and am wondering if I should consider the 2500, due to the weight of my camper. I pull...

1500 or 2500 - Need some advice here

You guys are awesome! Thanks for helping out a newbie! Taking the truck to Atlanta tomorrow for my son (an engineer and overall picky consumer) to check out. Looking forward to the drive (not necessarily Atlanta traffic...) in the Ram and my first time checking mileage. Im still in that...

1500 or 2500 - Need some advice here

Well, I've taken the plunge... Wow - great advice here! I SO appreciate you all taking the time to give it! I use my truck mostly for around town and living in the South, there are not many large hills in my area. I use my TT typically for going to the beach (down hill! :) ). I purchased a...

1500 or 2500 - Need some advice here

What kinds of problems did you run into with the 1500? With the 3.92 rear end and the 5.7L Hemi, I thought that would do fairly well. If you were going with the 1500, what options does it really need? I will definitely look at the 2500 as well.

1500 or 2500 - Need some advice here

I have decided to replace my Silverado half ton with a Dodge Ram 4x4. I pull a 6000 pound, 27' Heartland North Trail camper (bumper pull) and have a good anti-sway, sway bar set up. I have been looking at the 1500 5.7L Hemi and believe it would do the job, but have wondered if the 2500 would be...
