Appreciate the information you provided as well at the OCI regarding temp stability. I haven't changed the transmission oil so I'm probably due. In shock and a migrane!!
A 3 day trip to eastern wyoming and back to the west side. Crossed 3 mountain ranges, battled wind, snow, 65 to 75 mph speed limits, morning temps in the single digits warming into the 30s. 2014 with 4.10's. The 6.4 is most efficient when temps above 50. Disappointing MPG
New truck and worse time of year to measure diesel mileage with blended fuel. With that however its no secret to expect 11-12 towing on the upper end.- wyo2track

Castrol Euro 0W-40 here too for my 2014 6.4 Hemi. Cannot find PUP anywhere in the stores around me. Have used Castrol for the last 6 oil changes. There's a good chance that with an additional 2K that with 4.10's the truck would run slower than it did with 3.73 and 14k. Better downhill braking programming needed. About what I expected uphill. Much better than the 6 spd towing 12,500 with 4.10's going uphill. My truck sounds like an air boat
On my second clutch fan in my 14. RAM replaced first on around 20,000 miles. Would never disengage. 2nd one is starting to behave the same way at 60,000. Once truck is warmed up manual shift it to rev rpm up to around 4500 and fluid in clutch will finally flow and let clutch move...- wyo2track

Good information. Thank you. I am chewing on this information a little. It does scratch that curiosity itch I had on how the 8 spd would be at hwy speed. I don't think the 6.4 will have a better time than the Ford 7.3 up the ike. With the 10 speed, the 7.3 is very strong. I'd be extremely disappointed if the 6.4/8spd didn't do better than GM's 6.6 gasser. I do think the 6.4/8 might be a better overall package than the 7.3 for everyday general...- wyo2track

I don't live far from there. You're truck will do just fine. I have the 6 spd and get along fine. You'll fight more wind getting up here then the mountain passes. Valvoline 0-40 now meets spec !
Great! Hopefully its easier to find than PUP. I've used PUP, Castrol Edge, and Mobil 1 0w-40 oils. Between all 3 I'd have to say Mobil 1 made my engine the quietest upon start up. However, after reading a couple posts of 6.4 engine troubles with guys using Mobil 1, I'm back to Castrol Edge...- wyo2track
