I don't know about sound change.. I'd images the 40 would be a little louder and more cracklely.. I hate exhaust that sounds like that.. where in central by are you?
I did the mufflex 14 kit.. they are in central nj.. you can go right to the shop.. i paid 250ish and did it myself.. it's not that loud but it sounds a lot better than stock.. drones a lil though on the interstate
I have them and have zero complaints... they have been great on wet roads, off road.. not loud enough to hear with the windows up and a pretty quite hum with them down.. I like them.. 1100 out the door is awesome in my opinion.. I paid 1200 out the door
my new theory is it's the shocks.. I had a buddy under and I went under while we rocked the truck.. we know it's coming from the area near the shock upper mount..
I took it in yesterday and picked it up this morning.. the guy that worked on the truck said it was a bushing on the rear sway...
the body mount is pretty solid and the I didnt feel anything abnormal about it.. I got a buddy to crawl under as I rocked it and he said it sounds like it's coming from where the bed support and the frame are touching.. so I'm guessing bed bolt..
now the only question is how the hell do I fix it
I've looked around on here and haven't found this post yet..
soo.. the sound is coming from near the upper mount of the rear right shock. sadly it's not the shock that bad boy is tightened down.. the sound only happens rocking the truck front to back.. side to side and up and down there is...
I have 35x12.5s on 0 offset rims.. They stick out closer to 2 counting the sidewalk.. -18 might stick out a bit more.. You will have to ask somebody that actually had it..
