My $0.01......I've had plenty of experience with Bilsteins my Toyota rigs and I wouldn't spend someone else's money on them. Blew up a set of $800 coilovers years ago and haven't been impressed with their longevity in their lower trims either. Then again, they are relatively short money so it...- River19

6.4 transmission staying too high
For me, I don't really put many miles on this rig unless I'm towing, my 2014 has only like 43,000 miles on it, so yes it is annoying the times I take it to work 18 miles round trip or a run up to my cabin with it which is 450 round trip but.......when towing in Tow/Haul I'm usually manually...- River19

This has been the consistent complaint with the 6.4 rigs. I have been dealing with this for 5 years. Tow/Haul is a little bit better as it at least gives you 2nd more often. Traded in 2016 6.4 to new Cummins!
I have them on mine, some days I wish I had the large towing mirrors but most of the time they are fine. I tow two trailers and I have no issues really with these mirrors. ^^^^ This Every one of those sensors and calcs has a margin of error even before wear and tear from usage comes into play......combine that whole series of variables with +/- and you end up with some noise in your numbers. The truck is capable of 17s in certain cases. I normally sit solidly in the 11-13mpg range with 35s and 3.73s. Towing, I see anywhere from 9-11.5mpg. Better mpg
I started doing this lately just so the damn thing will give me 2nd gear on slow speed 90 degree right hand turns. So sick of being stuck in 3rd at 10mph. I'll leave it out of tow/haul when it is wet, that is it. I keep threatening to get a Pedal Commander but.....- River19

I have a 2014 with 3.73s and 35s and tow up to ~8000lbs several times per year, and have no issues. Been doing it for 4 years now. I'll let you know the first time I say "I wish I had 4.10s". As stated before, the difference is minimal.- River19

Ford gets new 7.3 Gasser...will Ram respond?
I think it is an interesting niche at this point with the diesel capability, price etc. climbing so high, it is nice to see the gasser HD market start to slowly close the gap a bit. I'm certainly happy with my 6.4L, would love the 8sp but I'm not trading in my rig for anything for a long time...- River19

Totally different world gas and diesel with tuning etc. Forced induction etc. gives tuners a lot more variables to work with from a tuning perspective when dealing even with purely stock vehicle. Gassers without much in supporting mods are usually limited to very modest changes. Add well...- River19

So far so good, but, I have only put about 5,000 miles on them as I baby this rig and use it mostly for towing and occasional road trips. They were great on a long road trip from MA to VA towing our TT,smooth, stable etc.- River19

Nope...... can't ever remember seeing the light and I sure as heck have never lost gears and I can guarantee I have been at 175 at some point......it stays pretty low but isn't immune to fluctuations.- River19

I concur, this is what my 6.4L reads as well on a normal warmed up summer day.......that trans temp is pretty damn stable at 168-175 even when I am towing, including 90+ degree days.....and hills etc. For an unloaded rig to be sitting at 210+ all day......something is ferked up, and it ain't...- River19
