I started with halogens and upgraded them to a set of ebay projectors with Innovited HIDs from Amazon. Ran that for 3 years until the projectors started to delaminate. Recently swapped them for AlphaRex HD style projectors with Innovited 55w 5000k HID. I'm running Fahren LEDs in the high...
I used the drl harness and turned off drl in Alfa. Low and high beam are set to hid I think…I used to have a diff set of aftermarket projectors and made all the changes a couple years ago.
I have the AlphaRex pro series running HID low and LED high. I set everything to hid/led via alfaobd. No hyper flash, no resistors, no light out messages.
Fuel filters need changed every 20k miles and an oil change is only slightly more than anything else.
Diesel is over $5/gallon though.
The 5th gen has a 3.21 option, some of those guys are knocking down 28+ mpg on the highway.
I have a 2016, 227k miles with a level and 35x12.50 tires. I...
this is a dumb question, but does it get worse if you have something on the hitch? My truck has a similar vibration and when I have our Thule bike rack on the hitch, it makes the vibration even more noticeable.
I’m starting to think mine is the axle shafts (rear).
I’ve replaced cv axles...

I think mine is out of balance - I can’t find anything on it that looks like a weight, but I don’t know (for sure) what I’m looking for.
2016 4wd crew cab - one piece driveshaft
Thanks.
I’ll check the HID vs LED color tonight. I wasn’t really worried about it…I don’t run the high beams all that much.
The HID doesn’t look yellow to me at all. I didn’t want any blue and am pretty happy with the 5k
Low beam against a brick wall
LEDs fit, no issues. I used Fahren from Amazon.
I had to cut a 1” hole in the dust cover for the HID wiring, but the wiring includes a rubber grommet. Should be fine.
