    this is a good article. very informative, only problem i see in here is the shackles chart you have there.. i hvae a set of D-ring shackles hanging from my hitch ( instead of a cow bell), and that first one you see, it a 5/8ths.. your chart says 3/4 ton.. my ring has stamped into it that load...

    Yea, I'm here, couldn't resist... But yes, it has the 9/16 nut on the top witht he alan key in the middle.. Lossen the 9/16, tunr the alan till it has light reisitance, back off 1/8 turn, tightn the 9/16.. But like anything else, I heard a few horror stories of guys messin it up, blowin apart...
