    1st, check to be sure the coolant levels are correct. I have a similar issue and that’s as far as I got. My “sniffer” came yesterday now I have to find the leak.

    We always used the tube and bulb electrolytic tester to determine if bad or not. Now most batteries are sealed and one cannot get into them.

    Why would they have installed a factory 7 pin plug without the brake controller? I suppose the dealer could install one, just does not make sense the would install the plug if they were not going to deliver it tow ready.

    Do you know if your hitch is Class 1, 3, or three? Not having the brake controller leads me to believe the factory tow package you have was not intended for trailers with brakes which limits the size of trailer you can safely tow. So it boils down to hitch size, and that depends on the weight...

    Hydraulic lifters, when going bad, will tick until oil pressure keeps them pressurized. Once bad, the push rod will often break thru. If the tic goes away within 10 to 15 seconds.....lifter. PLEASE, correct me if wrong about this. Thanks.
