EMP Protection For Home and Auto

Thanks for all the great input guys. Much appreciated. I was pretty skeptical about this EMP Shield but figured I'd ask. Funny how as soon as you do some research on a topic (EMP for example), all the ads you start to get popping up.

So after reading through the closed down Bugout and war truck thread, I wanted to ask a question. Has anyone installed one of these in their truck or house? and do they really work? EMP Shield

    Thinking of 37s

8" wide OEM Power Wagon wheel. No issues at all. In fact, I had the tires shipped to my dealer and they mounted, balanced and installed them for me.

    Thinking of 37s

Very minor at full lock. If I rubbed three times in two years it's a lot. I use this truck as my daily driver and pull in and out of parking spaces daily with no issues. I will say that if you intend on doing hard core off-roading, you may need to trim a bit in the fender/wheel wells. For...

    Thinking of 37s

I'll never go down from 37's. No real noticeable power loss and pull my dump trailer (full) just fine. I installed the AEV ProCal tuner to change the computer to 37's and had the dealer recalibrate the speedo. I'm running them on OEM wheels too, and have not had any significant rubbing.

    bad front suspension components?

Thanks. I figured it wouldn't be a straightforward swap. Some s@@t came up and I haven't had time to get back under to remove the end links just yet. This week though I should have time.

I happen to have a non disconnecting sway bar from a 2500. Anyone know if I swap them out and disconnect the sway bar motor, are there othe electronics tied to that? Will I have a warning light come on? Would be temporary to make sure this is the problem and until I sack up to buy a replacement.

    bad front suspension components?

Before I removed one of the sway bar end links I was inspecting the disconnecting sway bar motor assembly. Should I have this much play in the coupling with both sway bar end links still connected and the sway bar engaged? Not sure how to get the vid to upload. But I can rock it by hand about...

only when going over a rough patch. However, it's done this now with the last three sets of tires. 35" General Grabbers, 37" Maxis Razr's and now 37" Cooper Discoverer STT Pros.

    bad front suspension components?

I did not. However I had the dealer install my trackbar and Drag link. Maybe they did. However the new ones have greasable joints and not rubber bushings. But I can certainly check them.

Yes sir. I rotate my tires every 3k miles. Have had this issue for quite some time now. Current milage ~62k miles. I had higher tire pressure which made it worse.

    bad front suspension components?

Just in from the cold. Checked torque on the trackbar... both mounting bolts are over 215 ft lbs, so that is not it. Feeling like it has to be something stupid at this point, since I have checked everything I can think of. The only other thing I have been thinking about are all of the radius...

    bad front suspension components?

I have been emailing with Andrew from Thuren over the last day. He's been helping me to out and has been super cool to work with. One thing I have not re-checked, which I will today, is the track bar torque... supposed to be 215 ft lbs. I'll crawl under this morning to ensure they are still...

    bad front suspension components?

I thought so. I figured a bad spring would cause sag. Wasn't sure if anyone ever has a spring go bad as I never had, so I figured I'd ask. The fox shocks came from Thuren with the springs.

    bad front suspension components?

No sir. Just the Fox 2.0 shocks they offer to go with the 1.5" lift. Running 37" tires, but have them set to 45 psi cold. they get up to around 52 psi when warmer and after driving.

    bad front suspension components?

yep Fox replaced them. had the same issue. I even tried a different brand only to have the same issue. I am also looking into alignment specs... since I recently replaced the tie rod, drag link and track bar, I had an alignment shop realign the truck. I am checking those specs against what...
