    I am always confused as to why someone would have a nice truck that has a V8 engine and 4x4 and is worrying about gas mileage. You have the 3.92 which most everybody wants due to a better tow rating. Help me understand?

    Not sure how light of a tire to go with while towing? Load range E 10 ply should be minimum for towing at 80lbs psi. Not trying to be nasty but just like many others I'm sure you have a nice truck and trailer why the huge concern over mpg?

    Exactly..some people don't understand payload is more important than towing capacity for some applications. It's definitely the case for me hauling a truck camper full time.

    Just purchase the camper the want and worry about mileage another day. As long as you can tow is safely and within your limits you will be fine.

    Im in a similar situation. I have 2020 turbo Mustang that gets excellent gas mileage. I use it to run to appointments and such and my truck and full time truck camper sits on those days.

    I feel the same way especially if the truck is being driven like a car. When you start messing with the factory parts and specs can't see good things happening. The only thing I have ever done was to add timbrens due to carrying a truck camper full time.

    So true..had a 18 2500 Tradesman bought new for 38k in 2019. Traded in on 2022 Silverado 2500 and the Chevy dealership gave me 38k. Would have gotten another Ram but a 2500 gasser was nowhere to be found.
