I just had my rear brakes done. Needed rotors, pads and emergency brakes done as well. Truck has 51000km. It was $1000 job. I live in Nova Scotia. So road salt is a one of the main culprits for sure. It sucks. Front brakes were good though. Thank good.
I drove my 2018 Ram 1500 w/ 3.6 pentastar from Halifax to Toronto. Which is roughly 1800 km (1120 miles) I averaged 10.4 liters per 100 km (22 mpg) average spped was 112 kmh (70 mph). Truck worked great.
There were alot of variables to what happened. The left lane had cars coming up. I was lucky I didn't get hit after I got wrecked out. Plus the motor shutdown and my electric steering was screwed. What pissed me off more. Was buddy ran and never came back. Thank God I got his plate number...
If you want to stay factory. You could try and find a factory 8.4c head system from a 2018 Ram. But if you do replace it. You will also have to replace your HVAC controls as well. There is a video on YouTube how to do it.
Here is the Uconnect 8.4 UCQ With Nav update. It's from Canada. From my 2018 1500.

The sound is different. I had to go in my audio eq settings and drop down the bass treble and mid settings for sure. But my NAV got an update. Which I use.
I have uconnect 8.4c w/nav. In my 2018 1500. I went to the uconnect site. Input my vin. Had the update. Dl and unzipped it on a thumb. Installed it and I am on 21.9.0 w/nav. Took about a hour to install.
