Manual says one thing, but what do the service techs recommend? The last service manager told me if it's not broke don't mess with it, haha... but seriously made me not mess with anything.

Can any of you suggest a MUST SERVICE at 100,000 miles? It's a 2019 5th Gen. Mostly highway miles. Runs great.

Already changed the thermostat which was like $3k.

Thx

I would do plugs and diffs for sure. What maintenance has already been done? I usually follow the severe duty schedule on my vehicles. I would assume serpentine belt, idler pulley, and adjuster would benefit from replacement as well. Have you done the transfer case?

Damn I got a quote from dodge and it was even more. Anyone here a mechanic in central FLORIDA?

To do the 100k tuneup.

All I have ever done is oil changes.

Have not done anything. Runs like a champ though. I don’t tow anything, minimal wear and tear.

is it ok to do this service other than at dodge? Horrible reviews and experiences in central Florida.

At 100k I would flush all fluids, replace spark plugs, serp belt.

And WTF costs $3k to do a thermostat?
Yea man that $3k sucked. Dealership quoted the same.

I will do the service you recommend. Thanks. Ok to have any mechanic do this? Or go to the dodge dealership?

Even if you were at a Rolls Royce dealer in Manhattan NYC a thermostat replacement is not $3K on a Ram truck. There had to be something else along with that thermostat replacement. Please don’t use that repair shop again.
