I'm trying to figure out the weakest points of my truck and learn what each part is truly capable of. This brings me to the 12" aam rear axle on the rams. Rawr shows 9750 lbs, but we all know these numbers are just made up to suit the manufacturers needs. I wouldn't doubt for 1 second if that thing was rated by aam for 12k, but I don't know and I'm hoping someone has some factual info, not just the stories we all have about that time I pd for 8 tons of gravel dumped in the bed and drove home on two wheels. Yeah , you know you've done it.
