2004 5.7 Pedal Commander

So I've got a 2004 1500 with a 5.7 and have really wanted to put a pedal commander on it. The problem is my 04 pedal assembly does not have a pedal sensor plug on it so I wouldn't be able to hook up the pedal commander. However the 05 1500 pedal assembly has got the plug needed. My question is whether or not a stand alone pedal assembly swap from an 05 would work on my 04 without the need for additional parts elsewhere?
