2008 Ram 1500 2wd 5.7L Hemi V8

I had a truck once. Sold it and bought a Jeep. I love my Jeep, but I needed another truck. So I test drove Fords, GMCs, Toyotas, and Rams. The Hemi had me hooked!

So here it is. The third brake light leaks water (which I learned the weekend after I bought it ) so I need a new, inexpensive one of those. If anyone has any ideas let me know. VENDORS?!

Also, my buddy went Incredible Hulk on the passenger side A-Pillar and ripped it off. Left the bolts and part of the plastic. Apparently it's not made to lift all of his 250lbs...So I need a new one of those, too. VENDORS?!

Nice truck! For the leaking 3rd brake light, try sealing it with some silicone. Might save you some money!

Don't buy a new 3rd break light, and DO NOT use silicone. I used silicone and that was not only messy, but you can't remove the light without nearly breaking the light. Big mistake. There is this gasket material at lowes/home depot that you need to buy. Ill go snap you a photo here in a few of it.


EDIT: Here ya go, they should have it both in white and black, id get the black for your truck, you don't see the gasket at all when applied though if you do it correctly. It has an adhesive backing on it;



Now when you get the gasket you want to cut two little triangles out so you can fold it along the curve of the upper section and the sides, and then put a straight strip across the bottom connecting the curved section. I drew up a little diagram for an example.

It is a rubber gasket material. it has a 3 hole hollow membrane that runs through out it, this allows the gasket material to be squished nicely. Even if water made it into this hollow membrane, it will not go into the truck as its a solid design, just has a hollow core.
