5.7L Hemi pulls hard right. I have to keep tension to the left when I’m driving (steering is still easy and so it doesn’t require force) if I let go of the steering wheel it immediately tilts right as shown in the photo and pulls hard right to the point that half the truck is over the center line in under 4 seconds. Tires are basically brand new with about 4k miles on them. Tires were also rotating, balanced and aligned less than 2 weeks ago. What could cause it to do this? Did it start pulling when you got the tires? What tires and size? My Sierra tracked great with my old 31" K02s, I put some brand new 33" Mickey Thompson Baja MTs on (meaty off road tire) and it now pulls to the left. New tires *should* be good and round but there are still varying levels of quality, especially with off road tires.

If you've had the tires on for a couple months and it just now started pulling, has your wife driven it lately? Need to check for some curb rash and bend tie rods?

Tires are Hercules 33 x 12.50 x R20LT same exact ones I had before just bought a new set before driving cross country. And Welllll I’m just a girl trying my best out here but I do avoid curbs like the plague. I did let my buddy drive it and he absolutely smacked a curb at like 65 mph. I was clearly less than enthusiastic when that happened. I took it to the shop, told them what happened, the mechanic looked at it and said it was fine but it doesn’t feel fine. So..how do I check for bent tie rods?

Was the EPS (electronic power steering) sensor reset when aligned? This is supposed to be reset with every alignment.

If the sensor thinks the truck is moving in a different direction than your steering wheel is pointing, the truck will continue to pull in the direction it thinks is right until the steering angle sensor is recalibrated.

The usual method is to turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and left, then back to the center, or wherever your steering wheel points when going straight, then set the sensor to that position as the default.

Most places don't know to do this, don't know how to do this, or won't take the time to do this.

I would have to call the shop and ask. But I just got under the truck and it’s leaking near the front right tie rod

Hitting a curb at highway speeds would be an important detail, yes that likely would have been the cause. I'm not super familiar with the power steering units on the 1500s but if you can see it leaking then I would certainly start there.

Most of the women I know are OK drivers but last summer after my wife backed my ram into a tree and busted the tail light, I like to keep the jokes going.

Update: the CV Axel on the passenger side has a lot of play in it (driver side is much more stiff) I think this may be the issue but I’m not positive any thoughts?

Don't believe "a lot of play" in the CV joint is a good thing. I would be planning on replacing both side CV's at the same time (if one is bad, chances are other is following at some time) and inspecting the rack for any damage. Then align and reset steering angle.

Could that leak be from the oil filter?
Not suggesting that is causing your steering problems, just possibly where you’re seeing the leak.
Lots of very knowledge members here that have helped me many times, hopefully a good shop can get squared away without breaking the bank, ask your curb hitting friend to go with you maybe he’ll chip in if he can.
I don’t lend my truck to anyone, I will help a friend who needs a truck but I’m driving, don’t like to drive any vehicle I don’t own for the same reason.
A company vehicle being the exception.
Good luck and please report back when you get your truck fixed.

Guys and Girls, I'm thinking the OP is playing the members. If a curb was hit at 65 MPH there'd be serous suspension damage. If the OP actually had a mechanic look at it damage would be noticed even if he/she was a bubba.

I think that's just spilled oil fron the last oil filter change, unless it was cleaned off after oil change and its new oil leak from a loose filter that is right over that mess.
brake drag can mit it pull, and lots of crown on the road will. Different roads should feel different.
a front axel should not cause a pull, but it could cause a bad shake, noise.

A temp gun would be handy for checking brake drag.

My money would be on a dragging caliper

Go for a lil drive and then feel the front wheels
Just put the palm of your hand on the center of the wheel, I would expect the right wheel to be noticeable warmer then the left
