Hey everyone

I have a 2013 4.7, 137 almost 138K on her.

Main issues with the truck is that the tranny shifts very inconsistently, sometimes very hard, sometimes very soft. Sometimes but rarely it’s perfect. This really only started around 7K miles ago when i changed the trans fluid. There’s also an incredible delay of throttle response too. Tranny isn’t slipping (atleast i don’t think so, CVIs look good.) Fluid is new.

Another issue is that the engine “chugs” through all of 2nd, 4th & 5th. It feels like the converter is locking and unlocking, even though i haven’t seen any codes for the converter on my scan tool. The plugs are in dire need of changing along with the wires. I have a suspicion that this could be the brakes as the rotors are warped pretty badly (i’m getting replacements soon) and the truck shakes horrifically when you stop, similar to how it feels when the engine chugs.

I am the last person to provide trans advise trust me. I would post your CVI's for these pros to look at and maybe they can see something. Did you perform a relearn? I dont think its necessary if all you did was fluid change but you never know. Also which trans do you have? Any other mods we should be aware of that might effect(or affect always had a issue with those two) performance? The shaking when stopping definitely sounds like a braking issue. Good Luck

Thank you for responding!

Yes, i did a relearn and it eventually learns back to its lazy/hard shifting style (don’t know what else to call it).

I have the 65RFE, truck is bone stock. Only thing different is that i’ve been running it solidly on E85 as i can’t really afford 70$ for a quarter tank in california, LMAO.

CVIs are as follows:

2C Clutch CVI: 57
4C Clutch CVI: 39
Alt 2C CVI: 52
Alt 4C CVI: 51
LR Clutch CVI: 74
OD Clutch CVI: 55
UD Clutch CVI: 42

Thanks for the help, it’s very much appreciated.
