The offset & bolt pattern are the same. The only thing you'll need to be aware of is that the thread pitch on the lugs and nuts are different. You'll need to make sure your lug nuts seat the newer wheel properly.

Ok thanks. So if I get the 2014 lug nuts all should be good. Right.

No...you misread that. The 2014 lug nuts aren't compatible with the thread pitch on your 1998 lugs.

Your lugnuts may work but you'll have to make sure they fit the newer wheels properly.

And if you have a 2wd you'll need spacers or do away with whatever wheel caps they have. 4x4 no issue

Do you know if anyone has tried different or modified bearing caps?
Supposedly there's something about a Chevy cap that fits and clears but I've never really looked into it. I got a buddy with a 2wd and her said he couldn't get a good answer online

The guy who bought my truck new briefly had a set of 20's on it. He said he pulled the rotors and trimmed them to fit into the rims, but hadn't really tried to deal with the cap issue before he sold it to the second owner. I just picked up 4 2008 Dakota/Durango 16's and I'll see what I find fitment wise. Thanks for the Chevy cap tip.
