Thanks! I have a Dewalt 3750 pressure washer. Will give it a try. Someone else mentioned Spray 9. I have some of that. I also ordered a gallon of wheel cleaner (non acid).Have you tried a power washing? At more then 3000psi and a tight nozzle fitting you can really get at the dirt even in tightest spots. Some solvent to pretreat can't hurt.

Last set of the factory Sport wheels i bought, which are quite a step up from those, and they had new tires on them. They were take-offs off a brand new truck,i paid $400 Canuck for them, then sold the Wranglers off them for $400.I used a cordless drill with a couple of wire brush attachments to get into those recessed areas at the back side. I also sprayed brake cleaner in there before.
I’ve got two wheels very clean and the front side polished
How much would a set of these wheels fetch? I know what they cost new.
I ended up getting 350$ for mine, still had tires on them with good tread, forget the brand.I used a cordless drill with a couple of wire brush attachments to get into those recessed areas at the back side. I also sprayed brake cleaner in there before.

Yes. I had a little bit left. I sprayed it into that recessed area at the back side of the wheels. And while it was wet, I got in there with a fine wire brush attachment to a cordless drill. Got a lot of that area cleaned up better.I think 1500 is on to something there, it seems to work fine on Chinese SKS rifles .
Another thought , have you tried brake clean? ( not in the dishwasher).
Are you saying that the dishwasher removed the cosmoline from your SKS? Or just general cleaning?I think 1500 is on to something there, it seems to work fine on Chinese SKS rifles .

I have heard rumors a while back that some fellow wanted to clean the cosmoline off a couple be bought. Are you saying that the dishwasher removed the cosmoline from your SKS? Or just general cleaning?![]()

I watch Rainman Ray's auto repair?? he said he has Bk clean on his site, up to barrel size, I have no clue what a barrel of brake clean may cost,Yes. I had a little bit left. Unfortunately, I need to buy another eight cans at Walmart. I went through a lot of it doing the front end, cleaning and replacement. And cleaning the rotors, brake calipers and brackets. Whenever I do automotive work, I seem to go through a lot of of this.
