I have a 2014 2500 with the 5.7. 80,000 miles. I’ve had and ongoing problem with no power from idle to about 3000 rpm than it comes out of it and has (most) of its power back.
Took it the a mechanic and they checked
-Fuel pressure
-Exhuast
-Timing
-They “fixed” a cam phaser (didn’t help at all)
-Also said there was some lifter tick and wanted to dig into but I told them I’d do it myself.
And after all that they found nothing worng and I still have no power
So about a month ago I did cam and lifters and found they weren’t really bad at all but I replaced everything anyways. Got it all back together and it runs the exact same, like I never even took it apart and changed everything.
So now I’m just looking for other suggestions on what to check/replace. I have no codes or check engine lights and never have either. It also idles perfect and I can rev it in park and it doesn’t act up. Any help would be appreciated!
