I'm certainly not complaining about lack of Tq. , HP or MPG , I traded in my 97 1500 ext. cab 4×4 w/360 295k miles average @ 12 mpg , and I'm loving my new ride !
I'm currently averaging 19 mpgs I'm just looking for some REAL testimonials from somewhere other than performance chip websites , mainly interested in mpgs on a like vehicle with no other mods...
Thanks for any info.

The only way to get better gas mileage is with your foot. Have control of it.

While tuners will help with that bottom end performance, and can potentially lead to better gas mileage, you most likely wont see the return you are looking for. With that said, I highly suggest a tuner w/ a custom tune (I have a Jay Greene which I love, while others prefer a Hemi Fever tune) as it will help with performance tremendously and get your pig up and going a bit quicker.

As far as MPG, I get about 13 around town. On the highway, Id be lucky to pull over 18mpg. Id say you are doing quite a bit of highway driving or have minimal stop/go traffic if you are getting 19mpg.

Thanks for your input doz! Your right I have limited stop N go with my daily driving , I'm doing more crawling around & stop N go the last couple months due to deer season , prior to season I avg 20.5 mpg . With that said I'm obviously not normally an aggressive driver . My truck is a six speed with 3.55 gear ratio and it seems to shift early to me and boggs a bit in "ECO" mode (mds?) Better gas mileage would be great , but I think if I could change shifting points it would eliminate bogging and the better mpgs would come as a result .
For what it's worth on a 1600 mile round trip recently I averaged 23 mpg per the trucks computer (actual =21.8) doing the math . I think that is awesome for a full size truck ! The boggingdoes bug me at slow speeds <50 mph and I'm thinking mpgs will increase a bit with better shifting points.

I know on the 6speed with the diablo you can modify the trans. I know the hemi fever tune usually jacks up the line pressure and shift points/firmness.

In the future I plan on a lift and 35-37" tires do you guys think a transmission tune would suffice or a regear from my 355s to a 410 gear to cause less stress on the overall drive train ? I'm thinking long term here , I had my 97 Dodge Ram 4×4 for nearly 300K with 35s
