I have a friend with a 2015 1500 ram he is getting a noise when he turns on the drivers side he says he can feel it under his feet. He says he replaced the stub shaft cv axle and hub bearing yet it still makes the noise. I am suppose to look at this thing saturday He thinks it may be the outer bearing on the front drivers side because the shaft moves up and down. Are these bearings replaceable? I have never needed to work on a front diff on these trucks as they dont go bad usually so I have no idea.

Sounds like the wheel bearing is bad, does the noise go away when he turn to the left or the right, I know Rock Auto has replacement ones.

Finally got it in today drove it and then put it on the lift it turns out he fired the parts cannon to early on the cv axles and the hubs. The way it was described to me was not even close lol The dash is lit up like a christmas tree and the ABS pump keeps going off it is shot even has codes for it I heard they just put out a recall for it to.

You see that all the time from people. "Oh it's making a noise..." and like you say, there's 10 major things that SHOULD have been addressed and weren't. And even if he replaced the hub/bearing...what did he use? I bought a brand new one from OReilly's (not even their cheap one) and there was .005" of deflection at the hub face right out of the box. So I marched it back and bought one from GM (for 2x more)...but was perfect and looked great. I check that stuff due to the amt of work involved with doing the job twice. So..new doesn't always mean 'good'.

I rode with a guy to lunch one time in his used (he bought it used) Bimer. Like every light on the dash cluster was lit up!! I inquired if he was going to take it in for service. Too expensive, he just ignored them and kept going!!!
