Was suggested I post this here, any/all comments welcome:

Wound up replacing the Turbo Actuator on my son's 2016 Ram 2500 6.7L.
Originally had codes U0101C, P003A, among others... and it was smoking badly.
Also had the Exhaust Service message on the display.
After replacing the actuator, I got it on the road, still stumbled and smoked for a bit, then cleared out.
Replaced oil/filter and gave it a good run, 1+ hrs a >2K RPMS (60-70MPH in 4th-5th gear).
Truck ran great, smooth, no smoke and no codes.
After I got it home, I checked for codes, all clear!
After being off for a few minutes to check tire pressure, restarted and the U010C popped-up!!!

Before installing the new actuator, I checked the movement of the "VGT" gear, and it wasn't as easy to move as I was hoping.
Is it possible to clean the turbo while on the truck? Maybe by removing the exhaust "tube"?
It builds boost and exhaust brake seems to work.
How much boos should it make?

Is it possible the turbo will clear-out w/ a forced re-generation?

TIA, sorry for the long post!
