I read the article this morning about the new 22 rams getting the updated u connect programming. Does anyone have any Intel if this update will be pushed out to us 19-21 folks as an update in our current operating systems?

From everything I have heard that won't be possible. I believe that is due to uconnect 5 requiring more memory or operating power(can't remember the specifics), more so than the hardware used in the 19-21s would be able to facilitate. Potentially you could swap the whole unit out if the connections are the same, but obviously that's a lot more involved and expensive than a free upgrade.

Doubt it, that’s how they get you to buy a new truck. If they kept updating all the older models you’d never buy a new one…

Kind of what i figured. My truck is only 1 yr and 1 month old and I've never had an update yet, wich it sounds like allot of times that will mess other things up. Obviously or current models won't have the bigger memory capability or be able to have the numerous users wich I really don't care about. One of the updates is to the maps and going to tom tom wich i was personally hoping maybe just maybe the Tom Tom version had a rv setting .
But I'm definitly not paying for an update, that is unless it takes care of that stupid 8 second cut out of the camera, then I'd consider hahaha

That's pretty much what the dealership told me. They said it'll be hardware and software updates so '21 & earlier won't just be able to patch the software and move along. :/

Hopefully they'll still push out some type of refreshed update for our 19-21s
